Building
for your Romantic Future
Keeping your relationship in shape may require a little
physical attention
Building a romantic future together requires a lot
of love and, yes...work! But who says you can't have
a lot of fun along the way?
Keeping your relationship in shape may require a
little physical condition on your part. You might
have the perfect metabolism and amazing natural
shape, but the rest of us have to work out our
appearance. Just because we've won the heart of our
true love doesn't give us an excuse to return to the
realms of the hairy unwashed. Just the opposite. To
keep the fires alive, you have the responsibility of
continuing the courtship throughout the life of that
relationship.
I'm not telling you to panic over lack of makeup and
'morning after' hair do's but you do need to
remember that nobody likes to cuddle up next to a
stink bomb or porcupine. If you don't practice good
hygiene the relationship will suffer.
It's also important to work on your emotional and
mental hygiene. The part of you that laughs easily,
trusts people, is spontaneous and playful. Keeping
your body and mind in the mood for romance can
actually be incredibly pleasant. Find things that
make you feel pure, whimsical pleasure and apply
them whenever you find yourself needing to connect
with your inner child.
- Try a lavish bubble bath while listening oldies
music.
- Throw a pajama party for your best friends, tell
ghost stories and play twister.
- Go skinny-dipping.
- Leave a plate of cookies on someone's doorstep, ring
the bell, and run away.
- Have a picnic in the park.
- Fly a kite.
- Paint all of your fingernails and toenails in ten
different colors.
Reviving your playful, mischievous child will
refresh and renew the playful, mischievous adult.
Once you allow yourself to act silly on purpose and
realize how good you feel, it will be easier to deal
with the tougher aspects of your relationships.
Where will your romantic future take you?
