Romance
Writing, Poetry Novels and Letters
Everybody loves a good romance, a sweet note from you
might win their heart
There was a time when the great romantics would sit down
and practice their penmanship and prose for the sole
purpose of winning the hearts of fair maidens. They
practiced calligraphy using quill pens and handmade
stationary, the results of which were often
indescribably romantic and beautiful.
Some of the most common forms of romantic writing
include love poems, love letters, romantic quotes,
romance novels, as well as romantic songs and lyrics.
Any and all of these can be used to win back lost love
or bring new sizzle into your current liaisons, and
there are as many strategies to using them as their are
words in the dictionary.
Creative romantic writing can be very challenging for
even veteran writers but there are some tricks that can
help get the ideas flowing. If you want to write good
romance, then you should take your writing to a place
where you feel the most emotional connection to your
subject. A warm tub surrounded by candles, a satin
sheeted bed, or a quiet retreat to your favorite
wilderness camp site with a babbling brook, and whispery
tree leaves, might help put you in the right frame of
mind for beautiful prose.
Finding the right time to write may also help. Do you
find it romantic watching the morning sun creep over the
horizon to chase away the darkness, listening to birds
awakening and singing praises for the new day? Or are
you drawn to the romance of a moonlit night?
Listening to romantic music can help the atmosphere, and
the lyrics may inspire as well as offer suggestions for
romantic word play. Spicy Latin love songs may inspire a
sizzling twist in your notations, while a tragic ballad
of heartbreak and lost love might arouse passionate
yearning for the love you have or long for.
You should also have an idea of what you want to write
about, and the destiny of the words. Are you writing a
poem to your sweetheart? Or a love letter never to be
forgotten? |
