Romantic
Poetry and Thoughts from your Favorite Poets
Borrowing from the Masters of Romance; Letters of Love
and Passion
Are you
a master of romance? Romantic love poems, notes and love
letters should be one of the romantics secret weapons
you never forget. They can be used to warm even the
coldest of hearts, and win you the complete adoration of
your sweetheart. Love notes have been used to win fair
maidens from the time were were school kids passing
folded letters from one person to the next in a ever so
romantic, puppy love, sort of way.
There is no reason to let this romantic strategy go. It
still works! For example, if you really want to show
your partner how much you care, do something a little
different tonight and jot down a line from one of your
favorite poets and place it on their pillow for them to
find. It's free, but it will show them you were thinking
about them.
If you want to go all out with it, take a poem like the
one below and retype or cut & paste it into a text
editor like wordpad. Enlarge the text to about 36 points
and print it off onto pink paper. Now cut carefully
between each line so you have about 24 strips of pink
paper, each with one line of the complete love poem. The
next part will show me how well you know your mate. Most
of us are creatures of habit. For instance, when I get
home from work I walk in the back door and head straight
to the bedroom to take off my shoes. I hate wearing
shoes around the house, socks or slippers are much more
comfortable.
Knowing that information, my lover would take take the
strips of paper and start at the back door, where I
would be entering. Use a tiny spot of tape to attach it
to the back door at about eye level. Now put the next
line of the love poem just inside the door on the wall,
where I'm sure to see the flash of pink. Let the
romantic poetry guide me through the house, and when I
reach the end, be ready to create a little 'physical'
poetry of our own!
If you have the courage, try writing some romantic
poetry of your own.
A Little Thing Called Love
Author: Anonymous
Love is a many splendored thing, they say,
And I believe it when you looked my way,
Out of the blue, things seemed to happen
By chance or destiny, is the question.
Living my life so long, without knowing your existence,
Then came a day we felt each others presence,
Guess what's meant to be will always find a way,
Love creeps into hearts and decides to stay.
A love so exquisite, yet so intricate,
In a world of only "you and I"
A love we can't even demonstrate,
A secret we have to keep for life.
I love you, honey, and its from my heart,
I hope you know that you're no beggar from the start,
You make me fly without wings,
You make my heart wants to sing.
Every moment I spent with you,
Is every one of my dreams coming true,
More than words, I want to show you how I feel,
Someday, some place, sometime, I will.
Love is a journey for two,
Step by step, me and you,
The future we can't see,
Let love lead the way for you and me. |
